The much‑talked‑about production “Cactus”, which officially premiered in Paris. The author of the play, the director, and the leading actress is the magnificent Renata Litvinova.

“Cactus” is a story about love, set to musical compositions by Zemfira, written especially for this production. The soundtrack includes 14 tracks.

“I, as the author, choose love as a miracle, as a fairy tale that grants both me and my heroine omnipotence — over everything, and above all, over life itself,” says Renata.

Throughout the entire performance, Renata dazzles in voluminous gowns by Demna. These are not just stage costumes but part of the fashion house’s latest couture collection. They create the effect of a true Paris fashion show and immerse the audience in an atmosphere of glamour and luxury.

A few nerve-wracking days in the life of a sorceress awaiting her beloved—is he alive, living in a place "where they kill?" But she can wait for even the dead and bring literally everyone and everything back to life—her loved ones, feelings, inanimate objects, and plants. Cactus transforms into a man and falls in love with her, and a dove on the windowsill grows to the size of a sphere, speaks "human" language, and drinks tea—all become characters in her wild fairy tale. And this fairy tale is about love and miracles.
